Terms and conditions

Contract

 

These terms and conditions govern the supply of goods sold by Supreme Plumbing & Electrical Supplies, 40-42 New Bank Road, Blackburn, BB2 6JW (us) to the customer (you) and constitute the entire and only agreement between us. All orders placed will be subject to acceptance by us and will only constitute as a legally binding contract once the payment has been received and goods delivered, a simple acknowledgement of the order does not constitute as a legal acceptance to the order.

 

Price, purchase and payment

 

The price payable for the goods you order are set out on our web site at the time you placed the order plus any charges incurred for carriage as set out in the ordering process. We reserve the rights to change the price of our goods without prior notification, however we will confirm the prevailing price before accepting your order. We are therefore not obliged to accept your order for such goods and may decline it.

 

On occasions the prices displayed on supremeplumb.com site will be different to the prices in store and we are under no obligations to honour any web site prices if there is such a difference. Occasionally errors can be made on our web site, and goods may be incorrectly priced, described or shown in which circumstances we will not be obliged to supply the goods.

 

To make purchases, browse the supremeplumb.com site, select the items that you wish to purchase and add it to the basket. Once you have selected all the items you wish to purchase into the shopping trolley, click on the checkout button. This will lead to a page which will total the items you have selected, and prompt you for some details i.e. address and credit card details.

 

We require full payment of the goods of your order including any carriage charges before your order can be processed unless otherwise agreed.

 

Delivery & charges

 

Unless you order and opt to collect the goods from our store we will be delivering them to the property you have requested, which must be in the Mainland UK. A valid signature will be required by you or a representative (once the goods have been checked) from the time of receipted delivery of goods. Any apparent damage goods, shortages or incorrect goods supplied must be made noted by you or your representative to the courier so he can make a note of it on the delivery note. Should you or your representative realise that their is damage goods, shortages or incorrect goods delivered to you then please notify us within the first 7 days of receipt of goods.

 

Heavy items are shipped on a "roadside" service, the driver is not insured to unpack and check your goods and it is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to move the goods into your property and then check whilst driver is present. Pallet deliveries are a one time attempt delivery and if you are not available at the agreed date to accept delivery an additional redelivery charge will become applicable (normally around £55.00).

 

Delivery is carried out locally by our own drivers, or a courier assigned by us nationally. Delivery normally takes from 2-7 working days, however some special goods do require ordering from the manufacturer and thus delivery arrival will depend on stock availability. We will however notify you of delivery via e-mail or phone once the order is processed. Please be aware you will be charged for any missed deliveries which can vary from £6.50—£55.00 depending on the size and manner of delivery for this order.

 

For orders under £100 we charge a minimum of £6.50 for delivery in the Mainland UK (England , Scotland and Wales). We are also now delivering to Northern Ireland, Isle of Mann, and Scottish Islands, however there is a minimum delivery charge of £23.66(pureley carriage charges) added to all orders in addition to the £6.50 charge for orders under £100. We have stopped sending out all orders out to Ireland due to the International destination charge being incurred by couriers. In some cases whereby the items are small, weigh under 1.4 kg and are low in value, then we can send the items via Royal Mail and the postage charge will remain £6.50 throughout the UK. Should you require any information about postage charges then please call our sales line. We will notify you via email or phone if the charges are any different to the ones stated.

 

To further combat Internet Fraud, we will only be delivering to the billing address of cardholder. This is to protect you as well as us from anyone who may have gotten hold of your credit card details and we believe is effectively the best precautionary measure.

 

Collection Only

 

The price set for collection only products are subject to you the customer collecting the item from our store. We would advise our customer to book the product in advance before arranging a collection from us. A percentage deposit of 33% will be taken before you call in to collect and the rest on collection. A proof/ID will be required in order for us to release the goods at the time of collection. Where an item is being collected all goods must be thoroughly inspected by you as these items don’t come under the normally 7-day cooling off period outlined in the Long Distant Trading Act and are special orders which are non refundable.

 

Cancellations

 

All cancellations must be reported to us promptly, to avoid unnecessary charges. Please note that we operate 7 days a week so the sooner you notify us the better. ‘Special Ordered’ goods (or which are listed for collections) are non-refundable once the order has been placed. We recommend all our customers to ask us beforehand whether an item is a ‘special order’ as to prevent any unnecessary problems with cancellations. Any goods whereby a deposit may be taken in advance, is automatically a ‘special order’ and the deposit in any case will be non-refundable should you wish to cancel.

 

Returns policy

 

All items that arrive damaged will be picked up and replaced however we must be notified within promptly so that we can make a claim to the manufacturers on your behalf. Any calls made after the 7-day cooling off period will leave you liable to cover the costs of the goods. All goods that are returned are tested for faults and damages, in the event that there is no problems with the goods you will be held liable for collection charges.

 

In all cases the manufacturers provide a guarantee and thus we would advise you the customer to contact the manufacturers if any such faults arise in the products during the fitting or after the initial 7 day cooling off period as it will most likely be covered by the manufacturers.

 

If you decide to change your mind and want to return the product then do so within the 7-day cooling off period, however all goods must be returned in perfect ‘saleable condition’ and sealed in the packing they were sent out to you in along with the invoice for us to arrange a refund to you. Please ensure you contact us first so that a returns number can be obtained. It is your responsibility to ensure that returned items reach us in good condition. We do NOT accept liability for the transit of returned goods and therefore suggest that you take out carrier insurance. If the goods do not arrive back at our warehouse in a re-saleable condition supremeplumb.com reserve the right to refuse a refund. The goods should be well packed in their original packaging, using clear tape and marked only with the address label. Any returns costs will be incurred by you the customer and should you wish that we collect the items back then collection charges are £23.66 for small goods and £65.00 for pallets will be deducted.

A change of mind does not apply where goods are "Special Orders" or manufactured to your requirements (i.e. Collection only, kitchens). In this instance you the customer are responsible to check that the product you are purchasing is the one you require, as you will be refused a refund.

We have provided you with useful links to the manufacturers that are supplying us, so that you can request any further information about the product you wish to purchase. You the customer will take full responsibility of returning the items back to us which means you will have to arrange for a courier to drop off the goods and will hold liability for the returned goods.

Please be aware a returns reference number must be obtained from our returns dept before sending any items back to us. A returns number authorises the return of this product.

Liability

 

We will not be held liable to you for any loss in profits and inconveniences that arise directly or indirectly in relation to the goods and we shall have no liability to pay any damages as way of compensation under these conditions. We also advise you not to make prior booking with works-man like plumbers, electricians… etc prior to receiving goods, as unforeseen events could cause disappointments.

Any personally identifying information is stored in a database, which only our authorised staff are authorised to access. We don’t store any details of your credit or debit cards. The card details are only used as and when an order is placed and the payment is processed, after which the card details are destroyed. The information we store about you is stored in a  secure password protected database at a secure location preventing any of this information from being disclosed to any outsiders.

 

We will provide you with a copy of the terms/condition on the back of the invoice you receive, via email or you can find it on our website. Our business is changing constantly and our terms and conditions are here to inform you of your rights as a consumer as we do hope that you are well informed of them before making a purchase to avoid disappointments.
